Amazon Seller Central integration guide
The "Able Software" app for the Amazon Selling Partner API
What it does
The Able Platform gives your team an AI assistant that works with the tools you already use. Connecting Amazon Seller Central lets the assistant read your store's own selling data — sales and traffic, pricing, inventory, fulfillment, returns, replenishment and, for Brand Registry sellers, Brand Analytics — so it can report, alert and answer questions for you.
The integration is read-only. It reads only the data of the Seller Central account that authorized it, it reads no buyer personal information, and it never lists, prices, ships, cancels or changes anything in your Amazon account.
Requirements
- An account on an Able Platform application (your organization's Able workspace), with an administrator to authorize the connection.
- An Amazon Professional selling account.
- For the Brand Analytics reports (search query performance, search terms, market basket, repeat purchase), the account must be enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry. Everything else works without it.
Connect Amazon Seller Central
- Sign in to your Able application as an administrator. Open Admin → Connections (the direct address is
/admin/connectionson your application's host). - Choose Amazon Seller Central and click Connect.
- Select the region you are authorizing. One consent covers every marketplace in that region: North America (US, Canada, Mexico), Europe (UK, Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, Sweden) and Far East (Japan, Australia, Singapore). Authorize each region whose stores you want the assistant to read.
- Amazon opens its own Seller Central consent screen. Review the read-only access and click Confirm. You return to Connections with the store listed as Working — no keys to paste, nothing to configure. The whole step takes about two minutes.
What Able reads
The connection requests only Amazon's non-restricted, read-only data roles — none of the restricted roles that expose buyer personal information:
- Selling Partner Insights
- which marketplaces the account sells in, to label the connection.
- Product Listing
- your catalog listings, their status and their sales rank.
- Pricing
- your own and competitive offer prices and the featured-offer (Buy Box) position.
- Amazon Fulfillment
- FBA inventory, customer returns and Subscribe & Save performance.
- Inventory and Order Tracking
- order counts and quantities — totals and status, not buyer identities.
- Brand Analytics
- search query performance, search terms, market basket and repeat purchase (Brand Registry sellers only).
- Finance and Accounting
- order-level sales and financial totals for reconciliation.
Every role is read-only. The app requests no listing, pricing, fulfillment or account-management permission, and no restricted role that would expose a buyer's name, address or contact details.
Use it
Open the assistant with the AbleClaw button in the top bar (or the chat icon in the left rail) and ask in plain language, for example "how did sales and traffic look last week", "which ASINs lost the Buy Box today", "show my FBA returns this month" or "what does restock recommend". Amazon's reports are prepared on request, so a large report may take a moment to come back.
Disconnect
- In Amazon: open Seller Central → Apps & Services → Manage your apps, find "Able Software" and choose Authorize/Remove to revoke access.
- In the Able Platform: open Admin → Connections, open the Amazon Seller Central connection and choose Turn off or remove it. The stored tokens are deleted immediately, and the platform detects revoked access on its next request and marks the connection as disconnected.
Data handling
Each seller's Amazon data is stored separately for that seller's workspace. Tokens are stored encrypted; data is encrypted in transit and at rest; it is used only to perform the task you asked for and is never sold, shared with third parties or used to train AI models. When you disconnect, the stored access is deleted. Details are in our Privacy Policy; deletion requests go to privacy@ablesoftware.io.
